It's not uncommon for Johann to hang around after the shift ends, but he hasn't been doing it lately, just to avoid the coldness of Sebastian. Today he does, waiting for the others to leave.

"Herr Michaelis, may I have a word?" he asks as he places the last pan away.

It's not like Sebastian can't tell Johann is still there, but he assumed he was just being lazy with finishing his work, and so is surprised for a moment when Johann addresses him instead of just quietly leaving.

He half-turns his head from where he was finishing wiping down his work station.

"...It cannot wait until tomorrow?"

Obviously, whatever it is, it can't.

Thank you, but there is no point to that.

[He's been killing monsters in the Enclosure every night all week since his fight with Johann. It doesn't help.

He wants to break the entire ship into pieces. Swallow the entire thing whole, rip the soul out of every sorry person and grind their bones to dust. Maybe he should, and then post to the Network about how very sorry he is and how he's learned the error of his ways, and then he'll graduate the next day.]

[PLEASE give Sebastian things to do. He has of course been as professional and put-together as always, but he's had daily vivid fantasies of murdering every sorry person on the Barge for weeks now. The frustration is probably noticeable if you know him.]

"Your color is terrible," he remarks. "Have you eaten today?"

Because self-care skills are challenging when your previous meal schedule has been "once a decade or so."

[He knows that Sebastian is usually in the kitchen all the time but since he's still human (as far as Blitzø has been able to tell anyway), he takes a gamble on him probably not being allowed to do as much extra work and stops by the man's room in the afternoon. He even knocks, a small miracle for him.]

Hakkai doesn't hesitate to allow Sebastian off the ship during port, but he's scheduled his time away from the ship today to coincide with Sebastian's. As he steps onto the scrubby soil of the island, he glances up at his inmate.

"We could use some more of that water-light for the kitchen," he muses aloud. "I don't like the scorch marks around the coffee maker."

Come this point Sebastian expects Hakkai to have no problem letting him off the ship - if he did, Sebastian would be... not offended, necessarily, but certainly concerned about what in his conduct was lacking. He nods solemnly at Hakkai's statement.

"Some of the dining hall tables, too, could use some work."

On some theoretical plane Sebastian does understand that places like The Infirmary should have the higher priority when it comes to where the healing water goes... but another part of him very much feels like The Kitchens ought to be the first priority. He's quite willing to selfishly hoard all his water to that purpose.

Mm. I saw, Miss Undertown.

I shall see what I can do. [Sebastian cares about is possessive of the kitchens. Breakfast Shift is his main protectorate, but it does extend to all shifts to some degree. Even so, his master comes first.

Also: Sebastian liked Archer. Truly, genuinely liked and respected him. Even so, there's not a hint of sadness in his tone, only business.]
